Marian spent 14 years in the hospitality industry since graduating in 1999 from the International Hotel Management Institute in Lucerne, Switzerland, where she specialised in sales and marketing, and revenue and team management. During her professional engagement, she was able to find time amidst a busy schedule to discover yoga. She has been enjoying her practice since.
Marian left the corporate world in 2013 to further her understanding of yoga. She embarked on a 200-hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training, SUP Yoga certification, and 60-hour Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training to enable her to share her yoga journey with others.
She continued to further her training with Radiant Child Yoga to become a RCYT Yoga Alliance teacher, so as to equip herself with skills to translate this inner work for children. In her yoga classes for children, Marian emphasises on guiding them to quieten and still their minds through physical movement, as she helps them to develop awareness and build concentration. She is constantly looking to expand her knowledge and perception through self-study and personal life experiences.
Marian truly believes that yoga is lived both on and off the mat, and enjoys helping practitioners find stillness amidst movement.
