Join us for a series of kids yoga fun! In this 3 weekend series, we welcome all 8-12 year olds as we explore the big themes in life through the 8 limbs of Yoga.

Each session helps develop strength, flexibility, and balance as they gain body and emotional awareness. Held together by storytelling, games, art, movement, breath-work and meditation, kids will get to immerse themselves in creativity, meaning making, and self-expression. They will also learn to navigate their dreams and fears, and connect with the inner light radiating from within.

Session 1: On Courage and Fears

Sunday, March 12, 2023
3pm - 6pm

We explore our dreams and fears, what courage means as we befriend our fears, and express courage with our bodies. This session will focus on stabilising and strengthening our core with asanas and somatic movement.

Session 2: Befriending My Big Feelings

Sunday, March 19, 2023
3pm - 6pm

We get curious about an entire Universe of feelings and emotions! Feelings come in all shapes, sizes, and colours as they constantly change in our bodies. We explore what different feelings mean to us, how we can befriend our feelings when they become too big, and the important messages that our feelings send us to help us in our everyday lives. This session will focus on calming and grounding through difficult moments with breathing and storytelling practices.

Session 3: Connecting with the Light Within Me

Sunday, March 26, 2023
3pm - 6pm

We traverse deeper and deeper into our inner home. In our inner home, we become aware of all that’s happening around and within us. Here we find peace and calm. Our inner home fills us up with joy, gratitude, and love. This session will focus on meditation and relaxation practices that can support children and teens to deepen their connection with themselves and the world.


$90 per session
$250 for all 3 sessions

Each session will need a minimum of 5 participants to proceed.

Yoke Wen spent close to 9 years as a social worker protecting vulnerable children known to the child protection system and supporting their families. She strongly believes in promoting children’s rights to live their best lives and reach their potential. 

She found yoga in 2014 after life-changing experiences and over time discovered the powerful benefits of healing, empowerment and grounding in yoga and meditation. She completed her RCYT with Divine Light Yoga in January 2018 and is passionate to use yoga to help children and teens feel safe, calm and strong in their bodies, develop skills to cope with feelings of stress and anxiety and build mind-body awareness, which is key as they form their sense of self and their understanding of the world around them.

Connecting with children has always brought tremendous joy to Yoke Wen and she enjoys sharing yoga with them through their language - fun and play. She believes in lifelong learning to support children’s growth and development.
